Maths - Measurement

My goal for measurement is reasonably estimate length/mass/area/volume/temperature. I was in Mrs Patten's Maths class, and we were learning about perimeter, area and volume.

Perimeter is when you measure all the sides of the object and add the numbers all up.

Area is when you measure the length and width of the object, then you multiply it.

Example:
A rectangle is 6cm by 4cm.
Perimeter -  6 + 6 + 4 + 4 = 20cm
Area - L x W - 6 x 4 = 24cm squared

Volume is when you measure the length, width and height and you multiply it.

Example:
Cube is 3cm by 3cm.
L x W x H
Volume - 3 x 3 x 3 = 27cm cubed
